Vocal Point-Dr. Alan Whanger

An update on the Shroud of Turin, believed to be the burial cloth of Jesus Christ, which was discussed a few months ago on some CNN specials. Dr. Alan Whanger, retired professor from Duke Medical School, joins Jerry Newcombe to discuss the Shroud and the carbon dating. Note: Marc Antonacci, author of The Resurrection of the Shroud, a 2000 book, said that if the Shroud of Turin were the creation of a Medieval artist (forger): “Such an artist would have had to have a knowledge of light negativity, light spectrometry, microscopy, radiology, human physiology, pathology, hematology, endocrinology, forensics, and archaeology. In fact, even with all the technology available to us today at the dawn of the twenty-first century, the Shroud’s unique characteristics still cannot be duplicated.”
