Many today—including millennials—are clamoring for “free tuition.” Many Democratic presidential hopefuls, such as self-proclaimed socialist Bernie Sanders, are calling for free college tuition for all. But Dr. Gary Wolfram, an economics professor at Hillsdale College, says while this may sound good, in reality, it has some harmful long-term effects.
