Vocal Point-Dr. Paul Kengor

Topic: What about the Stalin statue?

In this day of upheaval in the streets when statues of real American heroes, like Washington and Jefferson, are being torn done by the “social justice” mobs, it is amazing that in recent times, a statue of Josef Stalin has somehow escaped scrutiny. As D. James Kennedy and Jerry Newcombe noted in their book, What If Jesus Had Never Been Born?, “Hitler has slain his millions, Stalin his tens of millions.” Dr. Paul Kengor is a professor of history and political science at Grove City College. He is also a bestselling author and a widely read columnist. Recently, he wrote an article called, “What about the Stalin statue?” This is a bust of the USSR’s tyrannical dictator (d. 1953) that appeared in a World War II memorial in Bedford, Virginia in 2010. Dr. Paul Kengor joins Jerry Newcombe on Vocal Point to discuss the recent phenomenon of statue-toppling and also Stalin’s statue. (And there’s one of Lenin, still standing apparently, in Seattle). www.faithandfreedom.com
