Vocal Point-Elizabeth Slattery

There is an important church-state case that the Supreme Court has already heard arguments about. Can parents who are given the option to send their children to schools, send their children to religious schools? This case out of Montana is called Espinoza v. Montana Department of Revenue. Elizabeth Slattery of the Heritage Foundation wrote an article, entitled, “5 Key Exchanges From the Supreme Court in Religious School Case.” She notes, “After an hour of argument, several justices, including Kavanaugh, Alito, and Roberts, appeared to be troubled by Montana’s arguments while Sotomayor, Ginsburg, and Kagan seemed unsure about whether the parents had standing to bring the lawsuit in the first place.” Elizabeth Slattery joins Jerry Newcombe on Vocal Point to discuss this case and what’s at stake. www.heritage.org
