The history of the English Bible is a fascinating story. Great credit is due to men like John Wycliffe, William Tyndale, and his disciples Myles Coverdale and John Rogers—who, like Tyndale was also martyred. Rogers helped bring to life an important Reformation Bible called “the Matthew Bible.” Now, a new book, overseen by Ruth Magnusson Davis, gives us a slightly updated (just for common sense modernization) version of the Matthew Bible. It’s called The October Testament, and it contains original notes and commentaries by William Tyndale and John Rogers. Ruth Magnusson Davis joins Jerry Newcombe to discuss this new project.
