Wesley J. Smith is a bioethicist with the Discovery Institute. He writes many insightful articles on the subject of human exceptionalism. Recently he wrote an article on the deliberate killing of human embryos on behalf of scientific research, entitled, “Scientists Kill Embryo Research Time Restrictions.” Smith notes, “The questions presented cut to the heart of societal morality: Does human life have intrinsic value? Are there any limits to what can be done morally to unborn life? Does any perceived utilitarian benefit to the born justify treating the unborn as so much yeast being tested in a lab?” Wesley J.
