Our 7th president, Andrew Jackson, once said that the Bible is “the Rock upon which our republic rests.” Although many Americans have Bibles that are collecting dust, there are some people groups that are hungering to get a copy of the Word of God. That includes some Muslims. Dirk Smith, the Vice President of Eastern Europe Mission, learned in a recent trip to that region that “the number one reason for Muslims encountering Jesus was NOT dreams and visions—while this is exciting and has become sensationalized.” Instead, Dirk heard from a number of recent converts that the #1 reason they are turning to Jesus is through reading God’s Word.
