Shakespeare Play Title Comes from the Bible

Shakespeare has some 1300 references in his writings from the Bible—and that’s according to the world’s leading atheist, Dr. Richard Dawkins, in his book, THE GOD DELUSION. (Dawkins appreciates the Bible as literature, but not as the Word of God).

Here’s my adult Sunday school lesson, as we continue looking at the Sermon on the Mount. In Matthew 7:1-2, Jesus says, “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” The name of the Shakespeare play is “Measure for Measure.” It comes directly from this verse (Matt. 7:2).
