At one time, America was among the best-educated nations in the world. James Madison of Virginia, a key architect of the Constitution, said, “A well-instructed people alone can be permanently a free people.” But surely neither James Madison nor other founding fathers would have been happy with some of the recent developments in modern education. The Bible says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Yet for years, in American education, God is not allowed.
