Vocal Point-Carrie Severino

Topic: Justice Kavanaugh and the Supreme Court Confirmation Process

Justice on Trial (a book about the Brett Kavanaugh nomination and confirmation process) was co-authored by Carrie Severino, chief counsel and policy director of the Judicial Crisis Network. John R. Coyne, Jr. wrote a review of Justice on Trial for the Washington Times, in which he notes: “The campaign was out to destroy Brett Kavanaugh by any means possible, including unverified and nonsensical accusations of sexual assault by a series of increasingly unhinged women ….Finally, the authors remind us, with each Supreme Court vacancy, the nominating process has become increasingly nasty. And if President Trump is re-elected, chances are good there’ll be another vacancy during his second term. Let’s hope the authors are there to cover the story.” Carrie Severino joins Jerry Newcombe on Vocal Point to discuss Justice on Trial and also the problem of judicial activism. @JCNSeverino
