Vocal Point-Dr. Byron Johnson
Topic: Is Church Good for Society?
During the pandemic, some governors and officials have said that churches are basically “non-essential.” One governor even implied that attending church was “high risk, low reward.” Dr. Byron Johnson, former Ivy League professor (the University of Pennsylvania and Princeton), disagrees with these sentiments. His research documents that church-attendance is good for the individual and society. He is the Director of the Institute for Studies of Religion at Baylor. Dr. Byron Johnson joins Jerry Newcombe on Vocal Point to answer the question, “Is church good for society?” Short answer: Yes. www.baylorisr.org
