Vocal Point-Dr. Greg Seltz

Topic: Honest Doubt Versus Rank Unbelief.

America is predicated on the idea that our rights come from God. But in the last century or so, skepticism against God and the Bible have come to dominate the intelligentsia, not only in America but in the Western world at large. Dr. Gregory P. Seltz, the executive director of the Lutheran Center for Religious Liberty, fights for religious liberty in America out of his Washington, D.C.-based office. Dr. Gregory Seltz is the speaker emeritus on the Lutheran Hour. He wrote recently on a contrast between honest doubt and pure skepticism. He even quotes G. K. Chesterton, who wrote, “The man of the nineteenth century did not disbelieve in the Resurrection because his liberal Christianity allowed him to doubt it. He disbelieved in it because his very strict materialism did not allow him to believe it.” Dr. Seltz joins Jerry Newcombe to discuss this issue and how, if you throw out God, you throw out the source of our rights. www.lcrlfreedom.org
