Vocal Point-Eric Scheidler

Eric Scheidler

Topic: A Tribute to a Pro-Life Giant

Recently, a pro-life giant has died—Joseph Scheidler, the co-founder of the Pro-Life Action League, which has been led by his son, Eric, since 2002. As a young man, Joe Scheidler marched with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Later, after Roe v. Wade, the infamous Supreme Court decision effectively giving us abortion on demand, Joe Scheidler pioneered peaceful pro-life protests. He was sued by the NOW in a case that went before the U.S. Supreme Court twice. He won both times. Defending him was Tom Brejcha, who created a law firm as a ministry, the Thomas More Society. Brejcha has since gone on to defend David Daleiden (who made undercover videos, documenting that Planned Parenthood traffics baby body parts. They claim that the unborn is just a “blob of tissue,” yet they turn around and sell to laboratories intact livers and brains and hearts from unborn babies. Another recent client of the Thomas More Society has been John MacArthur’s church. Joe Scheidler’s pro-life legacy has indeed been profound. He wrote it all up in his 2014 autobiography, Racketeer for Life. Eric Scheidler joins Jerry Newcombe on Vocal Point to discuss his father’s legacy and the importance of the pro-life issue. www.prolifeaction.org
