Vocal Point-Katherine Hines
American Katherine Hines founded and the Uganda director of Hines Ugandan Ministries. She has been serving in Africa since 1995. A press release about her says, “Katherine left a successful Colorado professional business career at age 36 after overcoming a series of tragedies, including 3 boyfriends dying tragically, to serve the impoverished and distressed children of Uganda –by some measures the poorest nation on earth and a country where former dictator Idi Amin butchered an estimated 300,000 people.” Today, she ministers to many orphans and children of Uganda. Katherine Hines has written a book (with Sheila Wilkinson), They Call Me Momma Katherine. Katherine Hines joins Jerry Newcombe on Vocal Point to discuss her powerful outreach to African children. www.hineskids.org
