Vocal Point-Keith Spurgin
Topic: The Church and Loneliness.
In the early days of America, the church played a more dominant role in our society. Today, there has been largely a breakdown on the influence of the church, as well as the breakdown of the family. One of the results of this is the rise of loneliness. Pastor Keith Spurgin has written a book on loneliness and anxiety. The book is called, Unknown. Publicist Gregg Wooding describes the book this way: “Drawing from Scripture and his own hidden struggle, he shows why loving one another isn’t optional—it’s the clearest evidence of following Jesus.” The subtitle of Pastor Spurgin’s book is “Finding Connection in a Disconnected World.” Keith Spurgin joins Jerry Newcombe to discuss the epidemic of loneliness, even in the church.
