The Stone that Became a Mountain

Dr. Jerry Newcombe is beginning to preach a series on Selections in Daniel. Here is a commentary on Daniel 2, in reference to Nebuchadnezzar’s dream of a 4-part statute, the legs of which refer to the Roman Empire. “In the days of those kings”—which kings? The Roman kings. “…the God of heaven will set up a kingdom.” It will be small at first—a stone that smites the statue…but then it becomes large and becomes a mountain that fills the whole earth. 500 years before Jesus was born, the Hebrew prophet Daniel foretold the coming of the eternal kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ.
