Anti-Semitism is on the rise in America. And that’s ironic. For example, the father of our country, George Washington, a devout Christian, wrote a letter in 1790 to the oldest still operating synagogue in America, which is Newport, RI. He said, “May the children of the Stock of Abraham, who dwell in this land, continue to merit and enjoy the good will of the other inhabitants, while every one shall sit in safety under his own vine and fig-tree, and there shall be none to make him afraid.” Fast forward to today, and we see anti-Jewish sentiments and actions rearing their ugly head. There are even members of Congress that are opposed to the modern state of Israel.
