America’s story, including its Judeo-Christian heritage, can be told through an exploration of many of the nation’s holidays. Scott Powell of the Discovery Institute has recently written a book on America’s special days, Rediscovering America: How the National Holidays Tell an Amazing Story about Who We Are. This book includes chapters on Columbus Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, and the July 4th.
